About Andrew

Hey! My name is Andrew Abado, born & raised in Acre (Akko) - a very diverse city with a rich history! My mother's family is originally from Acre, while my father's family is originally from a village in the Galilee called Kafr Bir'im. They came to Akko after the establishment of Israel, in the early 1950s!

For my school years, I went to a private Christian school in the old city, called Terrasanta. Received a dual B.A. degree in Archaeology and Geography from Haifa University. While working in archaeological research at Haifa University, I realized that the outdoors make a perfect "office" for me. In the same time, working as a guide at an archaeology museum, I realized that I enjoy working with people. It only made sense for me to begin my tour guide studies at Haifa University, and to finally receive my license (#12186) from the Ministry of Tourism!

In addition to being a tour guide and an archaeologist, I also teach [Ashtanga] yoga & work as a facilitator at a social-academic program for gifted highschool students! As you may have noticed, I like to keep busy & enjoy diversity - which is why my tours cover a wide array of topics..otherwise, I get bored!

I enjoy playing the guitar, practicing martials arts and yoga, gardening, cooking, hiking and more!

Currently, I guide in Arabic, Hebrew & English. I also speak Japanese (conversational) & Greek (basic), but I don't yet guide in those languages
